The Italian Society of Public Economics (SIEP) is pleased to announce the SIEP Prize for 2025.
The prize amounts to €2,000 and is awarded to an outstanding unpublished paper written by one or more authors under the age of 35 and presented at the XXXVII SIEP Conference, which will take place at the University of Napoli Federico II on September 18-19, 2025 (see the Call for Papers and conference details at https://www.siepweb.it/siep/wp/en/en/xxxvii-siep-conference-2025/).
Eligible contributions, whether theoretical or empirical, may address any research topic in the field of public economics and finance. If the paper is co-authored, all authors must meet the age requirement by the submission deadline. The prize will be equally shared among all authors. Each author may submit more than one paper. A necessary condition for receiving the award is that the paper is presented by at least one of the authors at the Conference in Napoli. This condition is met if at least one author has paid the registration fee and has duly registered for the Conference within the deadlines specified in the Call for Papers.
To apply for the prize, authors must declare their intention when submitting their paper to the Conference and must also send a statement certifying compliance with the age requirement to siep_conference@siepweb.it.
The Scientific Committee responsible for the selection process consists of the current President and past Presidents of SIEP.
The award ceremony will take place during the XXXVII SIEP Conference.
